This can be one of the most stressful parts to your wedding photos. The easiest way to make this go smoothly, and ensure you have more time for mingling and drinks, is to designate a person to be in charge of rounding every one up to help remove the stress from you. I recommend asking someone who is in your family to be this person, as they will know everyone they need to get, and can do so in a smooth and timely way.

Each photo should take between 3-5 minutes as long as the people needed are close by and ready. There are a couple ways to let people know that they will be needed for photos, you can send everyone a message the day before or you can ask your officiant to announce family to stay behind at the end of your ceremony.

When making your list of formal photos choosing around 8-10 different photos makes sure that not too much time is spent here and that you and your guests can grab a drink and mingle.

All families are different with different dynamics so these can be altered to fit in with your needs on the day amd to help make sure you get the magical photos you want. Making sure that any photos with grandparents are taken first means that they are able to sit down and relax quicker.
