Every wedding photographer does things slightly differently to the next. I am not answering these for everyone but only from my own opinion.
When should you book your wedding photographer?
I would say that your photographer would be one of the first vendors to book after finding your venue and securing your date. If you are getting married in peak season and you have found the photographer that you love you will want to book them in as soon as possible. I don't think it is ever too early to secure your date.
Do you really need two photographers at your wedding?
The short answer is No, you do not need two photographers. But with two photographers this opens up more options for you. Magic Moments Photography gives the option of coming as a pair, this gives you two angles in the ceremony and we can be in two different places at once. This is especially handy in bridal and groom prep, and capturing candids of your guests while you are getting your newlywed images taken.
Is seven hours enough for a wedding photographer?
This question is a tricky one. It entirely depends on what you would like captured on your day, your budget and the structure of your day.
I have done weddings in 6 hours and still managed to capture the full day, these tend to have later starting times.
My most popular package is the full day, which is 10 hours. I think this is the most popular as It ensures that you have images from getting ready all of the way through to the reception.
Does your photographer count as a guest?
No we are not guests, we are vendors. We do not need an invite and we do not need a seat at the tables with your guests. We would really appreciate food on the day but this is not a must.
We will photograph your speeches if they are before your meal and we will head off to the bar or a quiet spot away from you and your guests and have some food. We will not take any photos of anyone eating so as to not make anyone feel uncomfortable.
